Heartbreak Ridge

The first game played at Neshaminy’s new field, called the “Neshaminy Athletic Field” or “Playwicki Field”, was in 1956. In 1965 Dick Dougherty of the Courier-Times refers to Neshaminy’s football field as “Heartbreak Ridge”. It was appropriately renamed as Harry E. Franks Stadium in 1985. LED lights were installed in July of 2015. Neshaminy is the 1st High School field on the East Coast to have these installed

Wall of Fame

The “Wall of Fame” was built to serve as a very public and important display of the many players, coaches and others who have contributed so much to Neshaminy’s football program since its first season of 1928. The statue of Coach John Petercuskie Sr., 1960 - 1965, was dedicated on September 19, 2010. His record was 59-1-5.

Cheer

Our Cheer team. led by Michelle Mazur has a long history of winning Championships. Known for their famous Chant "Everybody do the Redskin Rumble", they raise spirits at every game.

Student Section

Neshaminy has strong student participation and they represent at every game no matter home or away. The Redskin 8 changes each year and leads the student section in vocal support of our players.

Marching Band

Under the direction of Mike Lipton, our Marching Band is second to none. With a new and exciting theme each year, they keep the crowds entertained with their excellance in musical creativity and spot-on precision formations. For video of our fight songs click here

2019 PAFootballNews.com Class 6A Coach’s Select All-State Team

Congratulations to both #5 Oleh Manzyk and #25 Cory Joyce who were both selected to the ALL-State team 2nd team, Oleh as a Linebacker and Cory as an all around athlete. This is Oleh's 3rd year to make the ALL-State team which is the first time in Redskin history that any player received this honor three years in a row. 2019 Mini-Maxwell Award

Cory Joyce is selected to receive a Mini-Max Award

Congratulations to our #25, Cory Joyce, for being selected to receive a Min-Max Award. The Maxwell Football Club is an organization involved not only in football at all levels but the community in general, not just once a year, but all year. In 2018 Oleh was selected as Neshaminy's Mr. Redskin and MVP Defense, SOL National Conference 1st Team D, Golden Teams 1st Team D, PAFootballNews.com Class 6A Coach’s Select All-State Team 2nd Team Linebacker, Redskin 11, All-Southeastern Pennsylvania 1st Team D.

In 2017 Oleh was selected as Neshaminy's MVP Defense, SOL National Conference 1st Team D, Golden Teams 1st Team D, All-Southeastern Pennsylvania Defense 1st Team D, All-EasternPAFootball.com 1st Team D, 2017 PFN/Coaches’ All-State Team 1st Team Linebacker, Bucks County Courier Defensive Player of the Year.

In 2016 Oleh was selected as Neshaminy's Hammertime Award Player, Redskin 11, Golden Teams 1st Team Defense, 2016 PFN/Coaches’ All-State Team 1st Team Tight End, All-EasternPAFootball.com 1st Team O, All-Southeastern Pa. 1st Team O, SOL National Conference 1st Team D, SOL National Conference 3rd Team O, Suburban One League Scholar Athlete, PA Preps 1st Team ALL STATE TE, EPA/WPA All STATE Super 25 Team – TE.

He is the only player in Redskin history to be named to the PA ALL_State and he did so both in Offense and Defense.

Luke Hitchen to play Football at California University of Pa

Luke Hitchen will continue his education and football career at California University of Pa in California, Pennsylvania. In 2018 Luke received Neshaminy's Mr. Lineman Award, was a member of the Redskin 11 and was selected to the SOL National Conference 1st Team D and Golden Teams 1st Team D. In 2017 he was selected to the SOL National Conference 2nd Team D and the Golden Teams HM D. In 2016 he was selected to the Golden Teams HM Team Defense, SOL National Conference HM Team D.

Bobby Buchys to play Football at Franklin and Marshall College

Congratulations to Bobby Buchys who will continue his education and football career as a Diplomat at Franklin and Marshall in Lancaster Pa. Bobby's awards in 2018 include Redskins' MVP Offense, SOL National Conference 2nd Team O and All-Southeastern Pennsylvania 3rd Team O and in 2017 SOL National Conference 3rd Team O and Golden Teams HM O.
