Game 3 Header

Perkasie: Tonight the ‘Skins travel to Perkasie to meet Head Coach Cody Muller and his Pennridge Rams. The Rams come in at 1-1 and the ‘Skins are at 0-2.

‘Skins, with first possession, go three and out. ‘Skins kicker Brett Conrad puts some power in his punt and Rams start on their own 26 yard line but ‘Skins’ Jeremy Sharp’s defensive play stopped them and they were forced to punt.  The ‘Skins then put together a 57 yard drive to the 26 yard line where they stalled. A ‘Skins’ attempted field goal was no good. Score ‘Skins 0 – Rams 0.

The second quarter saw both teams score. The Rams were first on the scoreboard with a 1 yard TD run and a PAT. The ‘Skins then went three and out. Neshaminy took advantage of Colin Schuckert-Tohm’s fumble recovery at their own 21 yard line by quickly scoring on a Nick Zydzik QB sneak. Conrad’s kick was good and the score at the half was ‘Skins 7 – Rams 7.

Coming back from the break, the Rams received the ball and ate seven minutes off the clock. After getting to the ‘Skins 4 yard line, the Rams ran it in for a touchdown. Rams’ kick was good and the score was ‘Skins 7 – Rams 14. Neshaminy came right back with a 70 yard drive to the Rams’ 1 yard line where Dayvon Tinsley punched it in for a touchdown. Conrad’s kick was good and the teams were neck and neck with a score ‘Skins 14 – Rams 14.

The fourth quarter started with the Rams in possession of the ball when they scored on five plays with a 16 yard touchdown run. With the extra point the score was “Skins 14 – Rams 21. The “Skins were not able to mount a comeback and the Rams scored again with 1:22 left in the game on a 24 yard run. Final score ‘Skins 14 – Rams 28.

We saw some nice runs by Jeremy Sharp, Dayvon Tinsley, Jaydon Williams, Travis Lavelah and QB Nick Zydzik. Special shout out to Brett Conrad for his punts and PATs and his first down in the 4th quarter. The defense kept us in the game until the 4th quarter and played hard all game.

Best of luck to Coach Muller and his Rams as they continue the 2021 season.

Good night Mrs. B.
