Football Classic set for 7:30 P.M. Thursday, June 6
at Harry S. Truman’s Henry Morgan Stadium
June 3, 2013
LEVITTOWN: This Thursday, June 6, sees the 38th renewal of the Lions Club’s Bucks County All Star Football Classic. Featuring the top high school football players from North Bucks County lined up against their counterparts from the South, four now “former” Redskins will represent Neshaminy. Pictured above, they include Daryl Kennedy, Alex McKenzie, Nate Hall and Brian Toal. In addition, our very own Coach Mark Schmidt will serve as the Head Man of the South squad. Always an exciting event, the game has raised significant monies over the years for many worthy causes. Tracing its roots to 1972 when it was first played as the Bucks County Cancer Society All Star Football Game, the Lions Club became its sponsor in 1976 and has been the game’s steward ever since. Now in its 42nd overall year, the scholastic grid civil war of Bucks County has seen many great contests. So make it part of your early summer fun and get out to Harry Truman this Thursday night.
