2018 Game 4 Header

Langhorne: It was a beautiful night at The Ridge with perfect football weather. Tonight we welcomed Head Coach Matt McHugh and his Council Rock North Indians.

The ‘Skins dominated the entire 1st half with 128 rushing yards and 91 passing yards. Brody McAndrew had 3 passing TDs – two of them to Zach Cannimore and another to Ryan O’Connor. Oleh “The Iceman” Manzyk rushed 65 yards for a TD and Cory Joyce brought back a punt 45 yards to score. On the defensive side, Tyler Foster and Jake Ginsberg each had a sack and Logan Williamson had 2 perfect pass breakups. The teams went to the locker rooms with the score ‘Skins 34 – Indians 0.

Half time and the Hall of Fame celebration! There were 5 inductees this year: Sam Spaddacino 1965-66, Steve Brett 1999, 2000-01, Georg Coleman 2002-03-04, Tom McEowen 2003-04-05, Chris Daino 2003-04-05 and Sheila Murphy AD 1971-2007. Congratulations to all and the honors are well deserved. Thanks to the Neshaminy Football Hall of Fame for working so hard to maintain our legacy and recognize our former Redskins.

The Indians bounced back in the second half, first on a 3 play possession with some aerial work from Indians’ QB Jonathon Kane to Griffin Peterson who caught 2 well thrown passes for 72 yards and an Indian TD. Then Kane scored on a QB keeper run of 20 yards. Ryan McMaffrey put up the extra 2 points on kicks. Those 14 points were all the Indians would score all game.

The ‘Skins also scored in the 3rd quarter on a run by speedy sophomore Chris James. We then got to see some new faces as well with freshman Gavin O’Connor coming in as QB and sophomore David Miller as running back. Dayvon Tinsley, Neshaminy freshman, had a nice punt return of 41 yards giving the ‘Skins good field position for the new group with Miller scoring a TD on a short run into the end zone from the 2 yard line with 7:52 left on the clock.

Coach McHugh and the Indians played tough all 4 quarters. We wish you the best of luck going forward.

Captains – #5 Oleh Manzyk, #12 Brody McAndrew, #25 Cory Joyce and #88 Bobby Buchys
