Game 7 HeaderLanghorne: It is Senior Night and we welcomed Kyle Beller and his Pennridge Rams to The Ridge to play game 7 of the 2025 season.  It is perfect football weather and the Neshaminy faithful are out in force tonight.

The Rams won the toss but deferred to the ‘Skins. They drove down to the Rams’ 35 yard line but were forced to punt.

The subsequent Rams’ drive was stopped as Tristan Rivera deflected a pass meant for Thomas Ginnetti, and the Rams had to punt the ball away.

Carter Clee set the tone for the ‘Skins possession when he broke out a 17 yard run. Lucas Stewart than moved the ball 26 yards into Rams’ territory on a screen pass from Michael Eckart. What followed was a beautiful series of plays with Clee amassing 26 hard yards, and Brock Williams with a TD catch in the end zone that made us think we were watching an NFL game. Stephen Buczzek was good for the PAT and the score was “Skins 7 – Rams 0.

The Rams got in 2 plays before the clock ran out on the 1st quarter.

The Rams drove down to our 32 when Corey Keenoy-Webb forced Noah Keating to throw the ball away. In the ensuing 4th down situation the Rams decided to go for it, but Keating was swarmed by the Neshaminy defense and then immediately tackled by Owen Swartz and Liam Brittingham and the ‘Skins took over on their 31

Again Clee started up the series with a 7 yard tough run when a Rams penalty gave the Skins an easy down. Eckart moved the ball another 14 yards on a hard run. The ‘Skins decided to go for it in 1 4th and 9 on the Rams’ 39 but Eckart was sacked and the ball went back to the Rams.

The Rams took over and after a combination of runs, got to Neshaminy’s 20 where they went for it on 4th down. A Keating pass got the ball down to the 2 where Will Dougherty ran it in for a TD. Luis Nunes’ kick was good. Score was even at 'Skins 7 – Rams 7.

With 1:46 left on the clock the ‘Skins started on their 20 and this short series was dominated by Clee’s effective, tough runs. With only 2 seconds to go, Eckart’s pass to Williams was caught but ruled out of bounds, and the teams went to the locker room even at 7-7.

Fresh from the break, Buczzek started it back up with a great kick to the Rams’ 16. Their drive was stopped when Nick Sassano intercepted the ball and Neshaminy took over on the Rams’ 44.

But the Rams got the ball right back when the ‘Skins went a quick 3 and out.

The Rams started from their 45 and once in ‘Skins territory, attempted a 42 yard TD pass that Mike Sassano knocked away. They continued to run the ball and scored on a 1 yard QB sneak run by Keating. Nunes' kick was good and the score was ‘Skins 7 – Rams 14.

The 3rd quarter ended as the Skins went 3 and out.

The ‘Skins defensive line forced the Rams into 2 fourth downs and the Rams had to turn the ball over on the second one. The Skins took over on their own 26 with 5 minutes left to play.

The Skins fought hard with Clee starting the drive with tough runs against the Rams defensive line. Carson Schneider caught a vital 16 yard pass in heavy traffic. Mike Sassano’s unbelievable catch was called back but Bobby Lagler came up with a clutch play when he snagged a catch at the Rams’ 24. Again, a brilliant Mike Sassano catch was called back. With 35 seconds left on the clock, the ball was intercepted by the Rams.

The clock ran out with the score at ‘Skins 7 – Rams 14.

This was game that went right down to the wire. It was a fierce fight and the Neshaminy Redskins never gave up. They left it all out on the field. This is what we love about this team – they never stop going for the win. They have a ton of heart. Tomorrow is a new start and you can bet that Coach Felus and his staff will make solid preparations for game 8.

Captains for tonight's game - #1 Michael Eckart, #9 Carson Schneider, #52 Owen Swartz and #54 Milo Makes.
