Langhorne: We are home at Harry’s House for our annual Homecoming game against head coach Rich Clemens and the William Tennent Panthers. Both teams really need the win tonight so expect a good game with lots of action.

‘Skins won the toss, elected to keep the ball and promptly scored in four plays on a thirty three yard run by Chris James. Jack Hughes was good for the PAT and in a little over two minutes into the game the score was ‘Skins 7 – Panthers 0.

After a quick Panther three and out the ‘Skins got the ball on their own 40 yard line. Though the Panthers intercepted a Brody McAndrew pass the ‘Skins defense promptly shut them down and they were forced to punt. The 1st quarter ended with the ‘Skins on their own twenty nine yard line.

Four minutes into the 2nd quarter and with the ‘Skins still in possession of the ball, McAndrew ran in an eleven yard touchdown and Hughes’ kick was good to bring the score to ‘Skins 14 – Panthers 7. Panthers came right back and after going for it twice on a 4th down, scored when Tom Santiago squeezed one yard through the defense to the end zone. Kicker Mike Liddy was good for the extra point. The half ended with the ‘Skins on their own 10 yard line and with the score ‘Skins 14 – Panthers 7.

The 3rd quarter was full of twists and turns. Panthers started it off with a play that saw them having to punt on their second set of downs but a ‘Skins roughing the kicker penalty continued the play and moved the Panthers down to the ‘Skins’ one yard line. Tom Santiago punched in a touchdown and new kicker Jon Gardner added the extra point. Score was ‘Skins 14 – Panthers 14.

With a Gardner onside kick the Panthers recovered, only to give the ball right back to Neshaminy on a fourth down right at midfield due to great pass protection by Ian Sheehan.

‘Skins had great position but Panthers’ Ryan Emmerich intercepted a McAndrew pass. In an about-face John Hutchinson recovered a lateral pass fumble on the ‘Skins 18 yard line and three plays later James capitalized by scampering in for a touchdown. During the PAT attempt Neshaminy had two off side penalties but the ten yard backup did not hinder Hughes who kicked it straight through the uprights for another point and with two minutes left in the 3rd quarter the score was ‘Skins 21 – Panthers 14.

The Panthers were eager to score before the end of the 3rd quarter but were stopped on a three and out after great work in the secondary by McAndrew. The quarter ended with ‘Skins in control of the ball on their own five yard line.

Two minutes into the 4th quarter ‘Skins scored on a quick 2 yard toss to Andrew Kindness in the end zone but the PAT was blocked by Panthers’ Derrick Cesenza and the score was ‘Skins 27 – Panther 14. A sack by ‘Skins Jordan Denis then forced a Panthers punt and the ‘Skins got the ball back on the Panthers twenty two yard line. They drove down to the four yard line where Greg Orleski ran in for a touchdown and Hughes’ kick was good. Score ‘Skins 34 – Panthers 14. Panthers turned over the ball on fourth down and ‘Skins ran out the clock to end the game.

Chris James had 196 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Brody McAndrew had 119 offensive yards – 64 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and 55 passing yards and 1 touchdown. Tedo Sakhokia had one sack while Jordan Denis had two. Props to the Defense who played very well tonight.
