Both teams were forced to punt on their first possessions. Then the ‘Skins, helped by a Knights penalty, scored a TD on a short 11 yard pass to Travis Lavelah only to have it called back on a penalty. This forced a ‘Skins’ turnover on downs at the 27 and the Knights took advantage and struck first on a Matt Bucksar 73 yard pass to Marc Cobbs. Ryan Bocklet put the ball between the uprights for the PAT. Score with 2 minutes left in the 1st quarter is ‘Skins 0- Knights 7.

The 2nd quarter began with the Neshaminy fans getting a nice offensive display from the ‘Skins. Catches by John Morris, Connor Frederick, Colby Bracey and some Lavelah power runs kept the team moving at a nice clip. Carter Clee punched it in for a TD from the 1 yard line and Kayden Nicastro was good for the extra point. Score ‘Skins 7 – Knights 7.

The Knights stalled and had to punt and the ‘Skins started their drive on their own 15 yard line. The Knights recovered a fumble on the ‘Skins’ 22. The Neshaminy defense went to work with a crucial tackle of Knights QB, but North Penn’s Ryan Bocklet kicked a 25 yard field goal and the score is ‘Skins 7 – Knights – 10.

Neshaminy could not advance the ball on their drive and Nicastro punted the ball all the way down to the 4 yard line – a beautiful kick. The ‘Skins’ defense again swarmed the Knights and stopped their run game. With under a minute to go in the first half, DeMacio Cooper intercepted the North Penn ball but the Knights came right back by intercepting the next Neshaminy ball and scoring a TD. Bocklet’s kick is no good and the half ends with the score ‘Skins 7 – Knight 16.

The Knights started the 2nd half with first possession but the ‘Skins’ defense shut them down quickly. Neshaminy got into a nice rhythm and quickly drove the ball with a nice combination of Clee and Lavelah runs and some great Frederick catches but stalled on the 9 yard line and turned the ball over on downs.

The Knights could not get the first down and their kicker bobbled the snap on their own 8 yard line where a slew of ‘Skins jumped on it, giving them excellent field position. However, the ball was immediately fumbled and it went right back to North Penn. The quarter ended with the Knights in possession of the ball on the ‘Skins’ 45.

Score at ‘Skins 7 – Knight 22. But Colin Baker and company did not quit and scored another TD with a 2 yard run by Clee with 2 seconds left on the clock. Nicastro ‘s PAT is good. Game is over with the score ‘Skins 14  - Knight 22.
