2002 Marching Band

From Director Mike Lipton:

We are proud to present the 2002-2003 Neshaminy High School Redskin Marching Band. This year the ensemble totals 127 members, which includes 107 musicians and 20 color guard. The band is under the direction of Mr. Michael Lipton. Band staff includes Dave Heaney, Joe Bongiovi, Rob Reeve, Jeremiah Paton, Shannon Stubbs, Kristin Cloak and Barbarann Fry. Drill design is by Joe Shonis.

Our 2002 program "Russian Masterpieces" features familiar classical selections of Russian origin. The show opener consists of several contrasting sections from "Polovestian Dances" by Borodin. Next up the band presents the very energetic favorite ''Russian Sailor's Dance." Our talented drum line and pit are featured as the band presents their rendition of the "Trepak" from Tschaikowsky's The Nutcracker. Our show closes with the powerful sounds of "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Mussorgsky. We hope that you enjoy our presentation of "Russian Masterpieces."
