2008 Neshaminy Marching Band

We are proud to present the 2008-09 Neshaminy High School Redskin Marching Band. This year the band is comprised of 81 members, which includes 72 musicians and 10 color guard. The band is directed on the field by Drum Majors Jared Middleman and Laura Johnson. The Color Guard Captain is Kaitlyn Moore. The band director is Michael Lipton. Band staff includes Dave Heaney, Jason Leigh, Kristin Cloak, Lisa Boccuti, Michelle Lillie, Stacy Luciany, Michele Fitzgerald, Kevin Finnerty and Adam Pfannenstiel. Drill design is by Joe Shonis.

The Marching Band will be kept busy this fall with performances at all Redskin football games as well as participating in Marching Band Shows at Pennridge, Bensalem, William Tennent and Pennsbury High Schools. We will host our own 16th Annual Kaleidoscope of Bands Show on Saturday, October 25, 2008.

Our 2008 production showcases music from a variety of jazz styles. The show opens with the big band style swing tune "Sing, Sang, Sung" recorded by Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band. Our second selection features the exciting Latin sounds of "Sunrise Lady" composed by Bruce Johnstone for the Maynard Ferguson Band. Next up we move to the Stan Kenton Big Band library and present an arrangement of "Pegasus" originally composed by Hank Levy. The show concludes with the very familiar Latin sounds of Leonard Bernstein's "Mambo" from West Side Story.
