Neshaminy HS 2014-15

From Director Mike Lipton:

We are proud to present the 2014-15 Neshaminy High School Redskin Marching Band. This year the band is comprised of 149 members, which includes 133 musicians and 16 color guard. The band is directed on the field by Drum Majors Dan Aslanian and Christina Chen and Field Captain Drew Lu-niewski. The band director is Michael Lipton. Band staff includes Lisa Boccuti, Zack Travis, Andrew Nittoli, Nora Boccuti, Jeff Ormsby, Michael Pettis, Matt Snyder and Michael Allen. Drill design is by Jason Welsh and musical arrangements are by Zack Travis.

The Marching Band will be kept busy this fall with performances at all Redskin football games as well as participating in Marching Band Shows at Pennridge, Owen J. Roberts, Council Rock South, William Tennent and Conestoga High Schools. We will host our own 22nd Annual Kaleidoscope of Bands Show on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

Our 2014 show pays tribute to the famous Ironman Triathalon. The three components of this challeng-ing race - swim, bike and run, are depicted as the show progresses. Part 1 – “Swim” begins with music from “The Tempest” by Tschaikowsky and transitions to music from “The Moldau” by Smetana. Part 2 – “Bike” is set to “Bicycle Race” made famous by Queen. The show culminates in Part 3 – “Run” featuring music by Ron Nelson from his “Sonoran Desert Holiday”. Please sit back and enjoy our presentation.
