2006 Neshaminy Marching Band

From Director Mike Lipton:

We are proud to present the 2006-2007 Neshaminy High School Redskin Marching Band. This year the band is comprised of 103 members, which includes 88 musicians and 15 color guard. The band is directed on the field by Drum Majors Amanda Boccuti and Kelsi Austin and Color Guard Captain Becky Gerhard. The band director is Michael Lipton. Band staff includes Dave Heaney, Kristin Cloak, Lisa Boccuti, Jadie Wehr, Amber Woolley, Gregg Mervine, Michael Davino and Jason Leigh. Drill design is by Joe Shonis.

The Marching Band will be kept busy this fall with performances at all Redskin football games as well as participating in Marching Band Shows at Boyertown, Marple Newtown, William Tennent and Pennsbury High Schools. We will host our own 14th Annual Kaleidoscope of Bands Show on Saturday, October 28, 2006.

Our 2006 production is entitled "Scenes from Oz". The show repertoire will feature music from "The Wizard of Oz", "The Wiz" and "Wicked". The show will open with an entertaining medley from "The Wizard of Oz". Next the percussion section will be featured in the energetic number "Ease On Down the Road" from "The Wiz". The third part of the show presents three numbers from the Broadway musical "Wicked"- "For Good", "Dancing Through Life" and "Defying Gravity". The show concludes with the very familiar sounds of "Over the Rainbow". Sit back and enjoy as we visit the magical Land of Oz.
