We are proud to present the 2009-10 Neshaminy High School Redskin Marching Band. This year the band is comprised of 127 members, which includes 111 musicians and 16 color guard. The band is directed on the field by Drum Majors Laura Johnson and Brianna Guidos. The band director is Michael Lipton. Band staff includes Dave Heaney, Jason Leigh, Donna Burmyl?Magrann, Lisa Boccuti, Michelle Lillie, Stacy Luciany, Michele Fitzgerald, Kevin Finnerty and Adam Pfannenstiel. Drill design is by George Colon and musical arrangements are by John Arietano and Jay Dawson.

The Marching Band will be kept busy this fall with performances at all Redskin football games as well as participating in Marching Band Shows at Pennridge, William Tennent and Pennsbury High Schools. We will host our own 17th Annual Kaleidoscope of Bands Show on Saturday, October 24, 2009.

Our 2009 production is entitled “Faces of Darkness”. The show will treat the audience to a medley of memorable and entertaining music from the dark side. The opening of the show catches the audience’s attention with a short intro from J. S. Bach’s Toccata and Fugue and then takes off on a wild ride through Night On Bald Mountain by Modest Moussorgsky. Next we pay a visit to the strange and quirky movie “Edward Scissorhands” as the band performs the beautiful Ice Dance. Next our talented drum line and pit sections will be featured as we perform music from Batman Returns followed by Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Next the audience is treated to s short bit of the movie score to The Nightmare Before Christmas followed by a visit to the world of Alfred Hitchcock. After a few more scary musical quotes, the band launches into a recap of the Night On Bald Mountain. Please sit back and enjoy our journey to the dark side.
