The Marching Band will be kept busy this fall with performances at Neshaminy football games as well as participating in a full schedule of Marching Band Shows throughout the fall season. We will host our own 29th Annual Kaleidoscope of Bands Show on Saturday, October 22.

In our 2022 production, What’s Next?, we take a journey down memory lane through the history of recorded music. We open our show with a sample of one of the earliest recordings of music with the French folk song Au Claire de la Lune. This technology was later refined and perfected to become the phonograph, which was the medium for many famous jazz recordings, such as Benny Goodman’s Sing, Sing, Sing. Moving forward in history we find the cassette tape, with its ability to fast-forward and rewind so you could listen to your favorite songs like Stairway to Heaven over and over again. By the 1990s, we are into the digital age as the compact disc becomes more and more popular. Being able to skip right to your favorite song, such as Alanis Morissete’s Ironic, was a welcomed feature, as long as your CD didn’t skip… Next, the digital age keeps getting better and better, as we are able to load hundreds of songs onto iPods and other MP3 players, so we can easily skip from song to song, and genre to genre. And finally, we close our show with the music of today. Being able to stream music directly from the cloud opens up so many possibilities as we look to the future and wonder - What’s Next?
