2020 Season Recap
Note - effective 2020 we will start using one page to capture all information for the season. The main menu will no longer have a drop down menu under the current year. Simply scroll down and click on the link to the information that you would like to view. Each page you link to will have a 'link back to here' button on the bottom of the page. This was implemented to reduce a heavy menu.
In the meantime everyone please stay safe!
The 2020 Neshaminy Redskins Football Team
The 2020 Football Season will go down in history. Coaches, School Districts, Booster Clubs all had to 'drop back and punt' their way through the season. The schedule changed many times before the decision was made to go with a six game lineup. The team ended the year with a 5-1 record, only losing their second game to Pennridge. Games at the Central Bucks School District had safety Covid restrictions and participants and media could not attend games at any of their stadiums. Players did a lot of summer conditioning on their own as there were weight room restrictions as well. Everyone had to adjust.
We consider ourselves lucky to have a season at all considering that Pennsylvania football shut down all together in 1918 due to the deadly Spanish Flu and WW1. Then, in the 1940s, many high school football games were interrupted due to WW2 and polio outbreaks. Through it all everyone stuck together and worked as a team to get the job done 60 years ago as well as now. A true testament to the grit and determination of the Neshaminy Redskins!
